Traer Creek’s Village at Avon
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This ambitious undertaking involved envisioning, designing, and constructing a brand-new community and all associated infrastructure. Granted 2,400 units + 650,000 retail SF after a nine-year entitlements process, the first task was massive earthwork, followed by a new I-70 interchange, bridge over Eagle River, RR underpass, dry and wet utilities for a new town, etc.

UNIQUE PROJECT CHALLENGES
Get consensus and approvals from wide range of stakeholders (e.g. public, Town of Avon, CDoT, FHWA, ACoE, NFS, etc.).
Complete huge site infrastructure project while meeting very aggressive Home Depot & Walmart opening dates.
Construct a new exit / interchange while keeping major national interstate open in tough mountain environment and harsh weather.
Coordination of local, state, federal and Union Pacific RR requirements even when they were not always in alignment.
Utilize master schedule / budget to run many smaller subprojects.
